Turn Your Digital Images Into Analog Instant Photos

Impossible Instant Lab

Transform your digital iPhone images into real instant photographs that you can touch, caress and share with friends. Florian Kaps, founder of Impossible: “The Instant Lab is the Impossible solution to a problem that we were trying to solve since a very long time: Is there an easy and pure analog way to melt our everyday’s iPhone images into these unique, real and magic photographs we love so much? The way it feels to finally merge the digital with the analog world of photography with this Impossible machine exceeds our wildest expectations.”

The camera is designed to transform any digital image via your iPhone into an instant photo that is exposed using only the light from the display, then processed and developed by chemicals. A photo that exists physically. A photo that is a one-of-a-kind original and that no longer needs an electronic device to be seen. Just select an image from the Instant Lab app, place the iPhone in the cradle and slide open the shutter on the base. A signal tells you when the exposure is finished. Close the shutter, push the button and the Instant Lab ejects your photo, ready to develop in the palm of your hand. Collapse the tower and the Instant Lab is fully portable and ready to go wherever your heart desires.

The Impossible Instant Lab (roughly $149 via Kickstarter) is the coolest iPhone photography accessory you’ve ever seen. ❚ Flattr this
