Sophisticated Paper Cuts

Matt Shlian

As a paper engineer Matt Shlian’s work is rooted in print media, book arts and commercial design. Shlian explains on his site, “beginning with an initial fold, a single action causes a transfer of energy to subsequent folds, which ultimately manifest in drawings and three dimensional forms.”

His last edition “The Process Series” started with electronic music itself and the idea of a basic structure laying the foundation for increasing complexity. His works are a sophisticated study into orienting repeating shapes and going a step further, beyond your imagination.

Limited to an edition of 20 of each, the works sell from the Ghostly Store.
