B-Side by Charlie Grosso is a collection of original, limited edition photographic works that are not part of a larger series, offered at an affordable price for the emerging art collector.
Grosso says, “I have yet to kiss a pirate or climb Mt Killimanjaro. But I have traveled to many far away places and logged more hours on buses, trains and boats than I care to admit. All in searching of that brilliant, sublime moment that haunting photographs are made of and to collect stories that makes me weep in my sleep.” I think the Sinatra House and its simple pool architecture is such a sublime moment.
The Sinatra House Los Angeles photograph ($300) above was shot on Polarid T-55 (which it no longer available), a positive/negative film that is super sensitive to heat and scratched. Part of the emulsion often comes off when you pull the positive from the negatives which is what give you an interesting texture and element of unpredictability. Sinatra House is a limited edition archival print, 11×14 inch, in edition of 20. ❚
