Carefully Considered x Husaberg FE 390 Enduro

Carefully Considered is a New York design studio that I always have been following. The new rough pixelated camouflage offroad design Husaberg FE 390 Enduro made me look.

The FE 390 is the newest member of Husaberg’s 4-stroke enduro line. This Swedish motorcycle brand stands for uncompromising Enduro racing machines since 1987 and originated from a deep passion for off-road sports in the forests of Sweden.

CC writes, “These designs are intended to create a system and identity for Husaberg’s new line of FE 390 Enduro bikes by subverting the typical obnoxious graphics and loud colors riders are used to seeing and bringing a collection theme to the
line of bikes.

Inspired by a military camouflage system called disruptive patterning, we took and created a micro and macro version in four different colorways. By using the concept of camouflage, usually used to conceal, we created color systems for
the bikes that do the reverse, standing out with subtle detailing.”

    No. No.
    It doesn’t work.
First, that pixelated camo themes has been used way too often, heck, I even used it myself for a race car design I did for a client 10 years ago.
The current graphics on the Husaberg lineup work very well, especially in the competitive environment. Subdued colors may achive a slightly different look but I have repeatedly seen designers play with something that they just don’t “get”. ( read”understand at all”)
